Bio

Namhyun Kim is a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Arizona State University, advised by Prof. Ahmed Alkhateeb. He is a recipient of the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) (NIIED).

His research focuses on data-driven design of next-generation wireless networks. He develops foundation models that learn transferable representations of wireless signals, digital-twin assisted methods for wireless system optimization, and FDD massive MIMO and integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) schemes that operate without CSI feedback. In summer 2026, he was a research intern at the Wireless Lab, InterDigital in Philadelphia, PA.

Prior to joining ASU, he worked as a network engineer at SK Telecom. He has collaborated with Prof. Jeonghun Park and Prof. Junil Choi. He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST in 2023 and his B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (with honors) from Yonsei University in 2021.
